Head Coach Enos Chatama spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s cup clash with Moyale FC at Kamuzu Stadium, touching on key areas and noting that he expects a very different opponent from the one The Cowboys met in the league.

Tuning up for Moyale…
We have been preparing for the fixture. As you know this time around we are playing in a cup game, cup games are always tricky. All in all, as a team we are ready to face Moyale tomorrow.
Meeting Moyale for the scond time, this time in a cup tie…
Football is never the same, we played them last time out in a league game. We won by three goals to nil at Kamuzu Stadium.
Today we are at a differrent venue, in a differrent competition altogether. Do not expect that it will be easy because we won 3-0 last time. This is a different encounter altogether, the boys must have to be ready, they have to be psychologically motivated and be prepared in all aspect of the game.
Players’ mentality shift…
This game is a knockout, we must forget about the league game and focus on the FDH Bank Cup. We win, we are through. We lose, we are out.
Moyale lost in the league at home and we will play theme here again, in a cup game there is nothing like a return match. The boys have to be serious, they have to expect a different Moyale to the side they met at Kamuzu Stadium.
On specific objectives in FDH Bank Cup…
No specific target in this competition. One game at a time, as i have already said, this is a new team altogether. We are preparing for the future. We just want to survive this season and there after we build a team for the future.
We have a 3-year plan, thereafter we can now start giving the players pressure to perform and win trophies. Being the first season we do not need to pile more pressure on the boys, they have to be comfortable and learn a lot of things. It’s a process and we have to let it flow.
Early team news…
We can say that three, four are out but we almost have the rest of the players, realible ones are available. Every player who has been training and who is ready will take to the grass and take on Moyale in a must win game. The boys have to give it everything, they have to play like a cup final.
Word to fans…
I urge the fans to come in large numbers, as a team we are ready to take on Moyale tomorrow. We know it will be a tough game but the boys are ready to fight from the first to the last minute.
The boys look shaped up for the game, they look motivated. We will give it our best so that we must emerge victorious in the end.
