However, their run ended in a narrow 1–0 defeat to FCB Big Bullets in the decisive match.

Ekhaya FC enjoyed a commendable debut season in the elite league last year, finishing 7th on the table, a performance that underlined the team’s competitiveness and steady growth at the highest level of Malawian football.
